Chetak is a groundbreaking innovation in the elevator industry, born from years of dedicated research, development, and a commitment to engineering excellence. Launched with this vision in 2016, Chetak delivers a comprehensive range of gearless traction machines designed to meet requirements of skyscrapers and to lift heaviest loads.

From the very beginning, Chetak’s development was a bold and ambitious endeavour. Despite scepticism from industry peers, the team’s unwavering belief in their vision drove progress. In 2017, they undertook the challenging mission of developing two high-performance traction machines: a 7000 kg – 3.0 m/s model and a 2200 kg – 12.0 m/s model.

The development of Chetak faced significant challenges. Limitations in existing manufacturing facilities and the need to source specialized components from capable vendors tested the team’s resolve. Despite these obstacles, the team remained steadfast in their pursuit of engineering excellence and innovation.

Through meticulous planning, innovative engineering, and unwavering dedication, the Chetak Team reached a major milestone in 2020 with the assembly of the first Chetak elevator, making a pivotal movement in the project. However, the global COVID 2019 pandemic temporarily delayed the official launch testing the team's resilience and adaptability.

Undeterred by the pandemic, the Chetak team resumed their efforts in 2021, undertaking rigorous performance testing, refining the product’s design and aesthetics, and launching a comprehensive marketing strategy. Their dedication culminated in December 2022, when Chetak was officially unveiled at the ISEE 2022 exhibition in Mumbai by real-estate tycoon Dr Niranjan Hiranandani, marking a major milestone in elevator innovation.

Chetak’s journey reflects vision, innovation, and perseverance, representing a major leap in elevator technology with enhanced capacity, speed, performance, reliability, and energy efficiency, while continuing to build a legacy of pioneering excellence and industry-defining engineering achievements globally ahead.
